Ingredients
Cooking spray
- 3/4 cup
(1 1/2 sticks) melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups
granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup
unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4
large eggs
- 1 tsp.
pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup
all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp.
kosher salt
- 1 cup
chocolate chips
- 1 cup
water
Directions
- Step 1Grease a 7” cake pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl combine melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder. Whisk in eggs and vanilla until batter is glossy, then add flour and salt and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and cover with aluminum foil.
- Step 2Place trivet inside an 8 qt. Instant Pot and pour in water. Place cake pan on top of trivet and lock lid. Set Instant Pot to Pressure Cook on High for 40 minutes.
- Step 3Follow manufacturer's guide for quick release before unlocking lid. Remove cake pan from Instant Pot and discard foil. Let cool for 15 minutes before inverting onto a cutting board. Serve warm or at room temperature.
If you have a 6 qt Instant Pot use a 7" cake pan.
