We found that strawberry sauce was the best filling for these cupcakes, but strawberry jam works too! Just microwave it for a few seconds until it's pourable.

Ingredients

box vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients called for on box
- 2/3 cup
white chocolate chips, melted
Black food coloring

(12-oz.) jar strawberry sauce
- 3 cups
whipped topping

Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 350° and line two muffin tins with cupcake liners. Prepare vanilla cake batter according to package instructions and divide between cupcake liners. Bake according to package instructions. Let cool completely.
- Step 2Meanwhile, make shark fins: Mix melted white chocolate and a few drops of black food coloring, until desired color is achieved. Transfer to piping bag. Pipe fin shapes onto a small parchment-lined baking sheet and place in the freezer.
- Step 3When cupcakes are cool, use the end of a wooden spoon to poke wells into each cupcake. Fill each hole with strawberry sauce, about 1 teaspoon in each.
- Step 4In a large bowl, add 5 drops blue food coloring into the whipped topping and fold to combine. Add more food coloring if needed until desired color is achieved.
- Step 5 Frost cupcakes with whipped topping, then top with shark fins and serve.
