Sour Patch Jell-O Shots

First they're sour, then they're sweet, then they're boozy. If you love Sour Patch Kids as much as we do (we'll never get over our Sour Patch grapes), then this grown-up version of your favorite candy should be a must-have at any celebration. To create these shots, we're using different flavors of packaged Jell-O, vodka, and of course, Sour Patch Kids. They're a little sweet, a little sour, and a whole lot of fun.
Like any Jell-O shot, these are going to need some time to set, so make sure to schedule that into your party planning schedule. Once they've set, I like to top them with Cool Whip and even more candy, along with colorful sanding sugar for the ultimate sweet shot.

Ingredients
- 110
to 120 blue, yellow, green, orange, and red Sour Patch Kids, plus more for serving

(3-oz.) pkg. berry blue Jell-O
- 5 cups
vodka, divided
- 1
(3-oz.) pkg. lemon Jell-O
- 1
(3-oz.) pkg. lime Jell-O
- 1
(3-oz.) pkg. orange Jell-O
- 1
(3-oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
(3.4-oz.) package lemon Jell-O
Cool Whip and blue, yellow, green, orange, and red sanding sugars, for serving
Directions
- Step 1Place 2 identical Sour Patch kids of every color in 55 to 60 shot glasses.
- Step 2Pour 1 cup boiling water into a glass measuring cup. Stir in berry Jell-O to dissolve. Whisk in 1 cup vodka. Pour into shot glasses with blue candies. Repeat with boiling water, Jell-Os, and vodka.
- Step 3Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
- Step 4Top shots with Cool Whip and color-coordinated Sour Patch Kids and sanding sugar.
