- 8
slices bread, preferably day old
- 4
large eggs
- 1/4 cup
whole milk
- 1 Tbsp.
granulated sugar

pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp.
ground cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp.

Directions
- Step 1Slice bread into thick “fries” about 1” wide. (If bread is very soft, dry the fries out in a 350° for 10 minutes.)
- Step 2In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
- Step 3Working one at a time, quickly toss fries in egg mixture until just coated then immediately add to skillet. Cook until golden on all sides, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer cooked fries to a paper towel lined plate and immediately sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
