Cameron Diaz is the latest celebrity to go after a food-related book deal. Joining actresses like her gal pal Gwyneth Paltrow, Diaz will also pen a book, but unlike the many emerging celebrity cooks, she will not publish a cookbook.

According to the New York Daily News, Cameron Diaz is in talks to write a book about food. Instead of a cookbook, the Hollywood star plans to pen a book about nutrition for young girls. She won't write about losing weight. Diaz hopes to encourage girls to eat healthy while undermining the nationwide obsession with being thin.

Diaz hopes to use her star power as a tool to spread the word about body acceptance. A source told the New York Daily News, "She wants to stop their fixation on being thin, and for teenage girls to understand that being healthy is more important." Diaz presents an interesting take on the dieting world, especially when the main reason for changing the way one eats is often to lose weight.

The actress will recruit other role models, such as Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jennifer Lopez, to help further encourage her readers. She will also hire nutritionists to ensure that she is giving the best advice on healthy eating.
