1Banana Cream Pie
PHOTO: LUCY SCHAEFFER PHOTOGRAPHY; FOOD STYLING: BROOKE CAISONIs there anything as lovely as a homemade pie? We think not. While pumpkin pie and apple pie are best in the fall, banana cream pie is just the treat for special occasions all year long. It's layered with dreamy vanilla pastry cream and slices of banana, all topped with clouds of whipped cream. This version calls for our favorite basic pie dough, but of course you can use store-bought dough if you prefer.

2Atlantic Beach Pie
Andrew buiPerfected by Chef Bill Smith at his iconic restaurant, Crook’s Corner in North Carolina, Atlantic beach pie is a twist on a North Carolina dessert staple. He took the lemon pies he remembered from his youth and swapped the meringue topping for a much easier whipped cream, and added a buttery cracker pie crust (a signature aspect of this dessert). This pie is best served cold, topped with homemade whipped cream and finely grated lemon and lime zest (plus a sprinkle of salt for good measure).

3No-Bake Banana Caramel Pecan Pie
PHOTO: ANDREW BUI; FOOD STYLING: MAKINZE GOREIf you’re torn between which dessert should be the centerpiece of your table, why not combine them? This pie pairs pecans in a sticky caramel, layered with bananas, and topped with a light and fluffy vanilla cream filling. Think banoffee pie, taken over the top with pecans and caramel. Best part? It’s completely no-bake, so you won’t be fighting for the oven space.

7Banoffee Pie
Erik bernsteinBanoffee pie as a concept is pretty straight-forward—bananas + toffee = banoffee. Developed in England in the 1970s to combine soft toffee into a fruit pie, it traditionally consisted of a pastry crust base topped with toffee, bananas, and espresso-flavored whipped cream. It has since evolved to sit atop a graham cracker crust and to include chocolate ganache, which is the version you’ll find here. This pie looks so impressive once assembled, and with minimal effort!

8Chocolate Pie
PHOTO: LUCY SCHAEFFER; FOOD STYLING: FRANCESCA ZANIPeople typically think that pies are a dessert where fruit should be the star. And sure, we adore a good apple pie or strawberry rhubarb as much as the next pie-obsessed person. But there’s something about a richer than rich, super-unctuous chocolate pie that can really take a dessert spread from good to incredible.

9Million-Dollar Pie
PHOTO: JOSEPH DE LEO; FOOD STYLING: MAKINZE GORESoutherners know a thing or two about decadent desserts, and this retro pie is everything you want in the millionaire experience—crunchy, sweet, mile-high, and make-ahead. Traditionally million-dollar pie is a no-bake icebox treat. It’s prepared by pressing a graham cracker crust into a pie plate and piling it high with a rich whipped topping base filled with pecans, coconut, and crushed pineapple. To give it the full Delish treatment, we took a few liberties to bring this old timey treat into the future.

10Key Lime Pie
PHOTO: ROCKY LUTEN; FOOD STYLING: ADRIENNE ANDERSONThough it's tedious to squeeze the juice out of tiny limes, we recommend it for the freshest, boldest flavor; however, if all you can find is bottled Key lime juice, or if you're pressed for time, that works too. In that case, you'd want to sub in regular lime zest. Looking for more Key lime treats? These Key lime pie pops are the perfect way to cool down in the summer.

12Chocolate Fluffernutter Pie
Suzanne ClementsThis recipe is for all the chocolate peanut butter cup–obsessed, Fluffernutter-loving friends out there. Instead of topping it with traditional whipped cream (which would still be totally delicious), we made a marshmallow whipped cream. The marshmallow creme helps stabilize the topping and keeps it fluffier longer, so you can worry less about it melting.

13Lemon Meringue Pie
Parker FeierbachLike most lovers of this classic pie, our favorite part of making lemon meringue pie is decorating it with the meringue. There’s something extremely satisfying about dolloping it on top of the pie and shaping it into swoops and peaks with the back of a metal spoon. If you're looking for a show-stopping summer dessert, you can't get much more impressive than this.

14French Silk Pie
PHOTO: RACHEL VANNI; FOOD STYLING: MAKINZE GOREThis French silk pie may not teach you how to speak Moliere French, BUT it really does have that silky texture that makes you feel like your mouth is spooning and cuddling with whipped chocolate. The silkiness comes from all that air (and all the fat content 🤷♂️) we’re going to incorporate. Add lots of whipped heavy cream on top and shaved chocolate for a touch of finesse!

PHOTO: RACHEL VANNI; FOOD STYLING: MAKINZE GOREThis is a nostalgic-feeling pie that’s rich and creamy and easy to make. It feels like the peanut butter and banana sandwich you’d make after school, but so much better. The filling is no-bake, too, making this almost too easy to make (and eat).
