Don't forget the mimosas!

We’re all counting down until the weekend, and here at Delish, Saturdays and Sundays mean one thing: brunch. Call us basic all you want, but brunch is a weekly chance to slow down, get together with friends, and enjoy a lighthearted, unhurried breakfast (or lunch!). While we’ll always think fondly of our favorite brunch spots, we don’t always love having to fight for a resy or the ensuing hangover from less-than-stellar sparkling wine in those bottomless mimosas. You too? Instead, take inspiration from these sweet and savory recipes, and make brunch at home. A far cry from our weekday on-the-go breakfasts, these pancakes, waffles, eggs, and more might mean you’ll never have to wake up early to snag a table again.

When it comes to making brunch at home, there's one main thing to remember: Unlike the people behind the line at your favorite brunch spot, you are not a short-order cook. That means unless you’re serving just a few people, you’re going to want to avoid churning out specific egg or breakfast carb orders for everyone at your table. That said, if you're looking for the best-ever versions of your fave orders, we’ve got them here, from sweet pancakes and waffles to savory biscuits & gravy and frittatas. We’ve also got some stellar recipes that are a bit more involved: Our tiramisu-stuffed French toast, our hash brown-crusted bacon & cheddar quiche, our Nutella pancakes, and our BLT eggs Benedict (what is brunch without eggs Benny?) are all worth the extra effort.

If you’re serving a crowd, though, we recommend skipping them in lieu of breakfast casseroles, overnight bakes, and shareable quick breads. Looking for something savory and chock-full of carbs? Check out our egg & hash brown casserole, our croissant casserole, our eggs Benedict rolls, or our everything bagel casserole. More of a sweet person? Spin that flavor wheel and make our overnight cinnamon rolls, our lemon-blueberry breakfast cake, or our overnight French toast. Looking to add some more freshness to your spread via fruits and veggies? Salads are all fine and good, but this is brunch after all, so sneak them into things like muffins and pound cake instead—check out our breakfast strata, our strawberry pound cake, our no-bake fruit and granola tart, or our fruit tart for ideas, then get creative.

Of course, it isn’t brunch without some incredible drinks. Bloody Marys and mimosas are classic, but it doesn’t end there—check out all of our favorite brunch cocktails to see what else we like to serve in the mornings.
