Nothing is forever.

Trader Joe's is wonderfully on trend. And one of the (many) reasons we love them is because their shelves are constantly being stocked with crazy fun foods. The only downside of this is that we fall in love with products only to have them ripped away without warning.

Why? The chain store explains it as the "gangway factor" — because they release new products very regularly, they're forced to discontinue items that aren't selling strongly enough. But not all hope is lost. If enough TJ shoppers speak up about a certain product, it could come back.

“Snappy, thin, dark chocolate pieces with subtle crunch of dry roasted & salted almonds.” Seriously, how did these ever go on the chopping block? Everything about them is perfect.

For anyone still crying over these frozen pies, you’re in luck! Steak and Stout Pies are available in the freezer aisle and they’re just as good, maybe even better, than the original.

Roast Beef Hash

On days when you were hungover, tired, lazy, or all of the above, this was clutch. And we’re sorry. Though to be fair, this is an easy thing to hack. Fry some onions, crisp up some frozen hash browns (which TJ’s still sells) then throw in some chopped roast beef (ditto) and toss it all together.

Cashew Meal

For gluten-free and low-carb shoppers, the day this left shelves was dark and sad. One TJ shopper lamented on Chowhound that while “it’s been almost 2 years [...], I still miss the Cashew Meal.”

Baked Blue Corn Tortilla Chips

Don't totally panic. They still sell blue corn tortilla chips. But the kind we see in the stores is most often filled with healthy sounding ingredients like sprouted amaranth and quinoa. Why can't a blue corn chip just be a blue corn chip?
