Since it launched in 1949, the Pillsbury Bake-Off has been known as one of the world's biggest amateur cooking competitions, giving us the Tunnel of Fudge bundt cake, French Silk pie, and Peanut Blossoms, among other now-classics.
This year, the 47th Pillsbury Bake-Off was held in Nashville, Tennessee, where the 100 finalists gathered to prepare their original recipes for a panel of judges made up of leading food experts, who had the daunting task of narrowing down the entries to one finalist from each of four categories: Amazing Doable Dinners, Savory Snacks & Sides, Simply Sweet Treats, Weekend Breakfast Wows.
On Monday evening, The Chew host Carla Hall announced the four category finalists during an award ceremony—but this year, there's a twist. For the first time ever, America will be helping to decide the ultimate winner of the $1 million prize. Between now and December 2, you can visit vote.bakeoff.com to weigh in on which recipe you think deserves the prize; the results will be combined with those of the Bake-Off judges, and the grand prize winner will be announced on The Chew on December 3. But first, you have to try the four recipes for yourself!
