To be fair, this wasn't even my idea.
I asked my 6-year-old son Teddy what he'd want for dessert on a Saturday night. "How about s'mores pizza?" he said.
Hmm. I had never thought of anything like this before—and frankly, I wasn't really sure it was going to work. But I hate disappointing Teddy, and I figured it was worth spending a little time to work through it.
I landed on a shortbread-inspired crust, with a healthy heaping of crushed graham crackers. I then added a layer of melted chocolate chips, and a broiled layer of mini marshmallows. All in, the whole thing took 20 minutes to make, and about 2 seconds to devour. It was insane.
But I'll let Teddy tell you how it was:
"The graham cracker part was the best part."
"The chocolate chips were so good."
"I don't like how the marshmallows become kind of crunchy and toasty on top."
"Next time, I think you should not do marshmallows, and do peanut butter cups instead. And whipped cream. And a cherry."
At this point, the kid's one for one. I'm taking his suggestions into consideration.
