We’re putting a new spin on one of the trendiest viral pasta dishes the internet has ever seen. A of brick silky-smooth and creamy Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese takes center stage, while nutty brown butter, pumpkin, and sage—an iconic trio—round out the ingredient list for a simple soon-to-be classic. Once you’ve mastered this flavor combo, you can try your hand at other seasonal iterations, but keep the Philly for that instantly delicious sauce.
Why It Works: Don’t base this dish on anything but Philly. Thanks to just five ingredients in Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese, including fresh milk and real cream, it’s the only cream cheese we trust to melt seamlessly into this balanced sauce with tangy notes that work with sweet, rich pumpkin.

kosher salt
- 1

- 1 lb.
rigatoni, cooked according to package directions

- Step 4Finely chop the remaining 5 sage leaves and sprinkle over the dish, along with the shallot and garlic. Drizzle with half the brown butter and season with pepper.
- Step 5Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until mixture is hot and bubbly and cream cheese is soft to the touch.
- Step 6Remove from oven; stir in the pasta and remaining brown butter to make a creamy sauce. Serve hot, garnished with crispy sage leaves and Parmesan.
