Obviously Instant Ramen has found its way into our hearts as the
quintessential college staple and home-cooked "fast food." Beyond that,
ramen has proved it is highly adaptable as it transformed into the infamous burger, pizza and even doughnuts.  This noodle has now shown that it can rise to the occasion with the creation of ramen gnocchi.

Using two packages of Instant ramen (yes, that is under $1), David Chang prepared
plate of gnocchi on an episode of The Mind of a Chef. Blogger Marcella
from Broad Appetite followed up with her own spin on Chang's recipe with
Ramen Gnocchi with Mushroom and Peas. We like the way she thinks.

Now, ramen-lovers everywhere can enjoy the same familiar flavor on a much fancier platform.  All you really need to whip up these dumplings is ramen, milk, egg and a food processor. The secret is creating the dough out of ramen and then creating the gnocchi by piping the dough through a pastry bag. The moment you get these babies sautéed in a skillet, you're guaranteed to forget that seasoning packet and broth-y soup you made yourself love all those years ago.
