This Saturday is the one day of the year when even the least patriotic of us take some pride in being 'merican. For some that means making adorably Pinnable red-white-and-blue Jell-O shots, for others that means a flag cake. But for those of us who don't feel like prepping anything too involved, the least you can do to show our founding fathers some love is to make it a star. Using a star cookie cutter to shape party food is the easiest last-minute way to prove your patriotism. Take a look:
STAR-SHAPED BERRY SHORTCAKES
Cut biscuits into a star and top with Cool-Whip and berries.
STAR-SHAPED POP-TARTS
The breakfast fave becomes a bona fide party bite when cut into a star.
STAR-SHAPED GRILLED CHEESE
Kids will go crazy.
STAR-SHAPED COPYCAT KLONDIKE BARS
What would you doo-ooo for a star-shaped Klondike bar?
STAR-SHAPED WATERMELON
Thread the watermelon on skewers with blueberries for a festive party snack.
STAR-SHAPED NUTELLA TOAST
Fourth of July breakfast goals.
STAR-SHAPED PINEAPPLE
The only thing better than chunks of pineapple? Stars.
STAR-SHAPED QUESADILLA
Snack-sized quesadilla = huge win.
STAR-SHAPED ICE CREAM SANDWICHES
Use cake or cookies to sandwich star-shaped slices of ice cream (birthday cake-flavored for that blue look).
STAR-SHAPED PIZZA
You can use frozen or pick up a couple slices at your favorite pizzeria.
STAR-SHAPED SLIDERS
Cook small hamburger patties, then cut them into a star shape and sandwich them between star-shaped buns and condiments.
