When I'm having friends over for brunch, there are a few golden rules I always follow. The most important one I host by: Give the people what they want. Sure, it's fun to surprise guests with some wild card dishes, but I always serve at least two crowd-pleasers I know I can rely on. One of those is pizza, in any way, shape, or form. I fell for this Ultimate Breakfast Pizza a couple months ago, but an even more summery way to serve up dough in the morning? Fruit Pizza.

If fruit on pizza sounds like an odd idea, consider this: I sweetened the dough by sprinkling it with sugar before baking, and, once out of the oven, topped it with an addictive ricotta-cream cheese layer that's spiked with powdered sugar.

Don't even get me started on the presentation. Choose whichever fruits you want and bust out your food artistry skills to arrange them in the coolest way possible. There's no right way, but a mix of colors and shapes helps. Sticking with strawberries or raspberries and blueberries for the 4th of July would make this patriotic in the best way.
