Turning foods into surprising vessels for sipping alcohol seems to be too adorable a proposition for Delish staffers to pass up. Last summer, we went wild for these toasted marshmallow shot glasses—I mean, can you even? Today, we discovered a sturdier substitute for glass and turned ice cream cones into shot glasses. RIGHT?! This is a summer shooter like you've never seen, and they take 15 minutes to make.
First, lop off the top of the cones with a sharp knife (eliminate a jagged edge by slicing really slowly), then dip the tops of the cones in melted chocolate and spoon melted chocolate into the base of the cone and all over the insides of the cones so that they get coated in chocolate. (All you need is a thin layer; pour out any excess.) Sprinkle the tops with rainbow nonpareils and stick the cones in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
Mix together (really) soft vanilla ice cream and a splash of Baileys (or whatever other booze you'd like; bourbon or vodka would also taste great) and pour the spiked ice cream into the cones. Top with whipped cream and a cherry. And then look at your masterpieces and recognize that you've officially out-cuted yourself.
Hand your friends one of these when they arrive to your next get-together or as a way more fun dessert.
