For a fall-and-winter-friendly variation on the classic crostini, we're replacing that summer stalwart, tomatoes, with one of the most underrated of cool-weather fruits: pears. Their crisp, sweet flavor is the perfect foil for creamy whipped Treasure Cave® Blue Cheese, spread generously atop toasted baguette. Garnished with toasted pecans, a drizzle of honey, and fresh mint leaves, this autumnal bite will keep guests coming back for more.

Ingredients
- 1
baguette, sliced into ¼-inch-thick rounds
- 1/4 cup
extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
- 1
(5-oz.) container Treasure Cave® Crumbled Blue Cheese
- 1/2 cup
heavy cream
- 2
ripe pears, quartered, cored, and very thinly sliced
- 4 Tbsp.
chopped toasted pecans
- 3 Tbsp.
honey
- 40
small mint leaves
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. Arrange baguette slices on two large rimmed baking sheets; brush top side with oil, and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Step 2Bake until golden, flipping crostini halfway through, about 10 minutes. Let cool on baking sheets.
- Step 3Meanwhile, pulse Treasure Cave® Crumbled Blue Cheese and heavy cream in food processor until smooth, light, and fluffy, scraping down sides as necessary, about 30 seconds.
- Step 4Spread each crostini generously with whipped blue cheese. Top each crostini with two slices of pear, a sprinkle of pecans, drizzle of honey, more Treasure Cave® Crumbled Blue Cheese and a mint leaf and serve.
