Few things are more refreshing than an ice cold margarita. Though there's nothing wrong with a classic lime marg, there's tons of crazy recipes out there full of wacky flavors (hello Fireball) and odd combinations. This week's snack off pits two very different celebs against each other, with two VERY different recipes.

JIMMY'S RECIPE

I had high expectations for Buffett's recipe, I mean the guy basically built an empire around the dang cocktail! He keeps it super straight forward: lime, triple sec, tequila, and a salted rim. I was a little thrown off by the addition of water, but ultimately this marg tasted super classic. Just boozy enough and not too sweet. Perfect for a hot summer day.

MATTHEW'S RECIPE

Ok guys, our man McConaughey went a little rogue. There's a little bit of everything in this cocktail. We've got tequila of course, but there's also tonic water, citrus soda, and a splash of CRANBERRY JUICE?! Certainly not a classic margarita, but a tasty one if you like yours on the sweet side.

THE VERDICT

Our tasters leaned heavily on the side of tradition, making Buffet's margarita the unanimous winner. Sometimes, simplicity wins out. If you're looking for something sweeter though, give Matthew's recipe a try! Any margarita is a good margarita, in our book at least.
