S’mores are the ultimate summer treat, but sometimes I don’t want to wait till I go camping to enjoy it. The solution? S’mores-inspired treats, like these cereal-based bars. Think of this easy dessert kind of like a cross between Rice Krispies treats and s'mores—have I sold you yet? Swapping the graham crackers for Golden Grahams cereal is a serious game changer. I bring these to almost every summer potluck, and soon, you will too.
Mini marshmallows and Hershey’s chocolate bars are a must-have in this recipe. We’re changing out the graham crackers, but staying true to the classic with our other components. Toast the bars to how toasted you like your marshmallows, then enjoy (scary campfire stories not required).

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp.
butter, plus more for pan
- 1
(12-oz.) package mini marshmallows
- 7 cups
Golden Grahams cereal
- 3
Hershey's milk chocolate bars, broken into pieces
Directions
- Step 1Grease a 9"-x-13" pan with butter. In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add all but 1 cup of mini marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth.
- Step 2Remove from heat and quickly stir in Golden Grahams until evenly coated. Press into pan and top with chocolate pieces and remaining 1 cup mini marshmallows.
- Step 3Heat broiler, and cook until marshmallows are toasted, about 2 minutes.
- Step 4Let set at least 30 minutes before slicing.
