Watermelon + feta is one of our favorite combinations of all time — especially during the summer time. You can go classic and toss all of your ingredients in a bowl à la watermelon feta salad, but if you’re looking for an adorable party app, these skewers are the next best thing. Simply layer watermelon, tangy feta, red onion, cucumber and basil on your skewers, then drizzle with a balsamic glaze to top it all off.
Just like the classic salad, you can get creative with these skewers! Not a fan of the sharp red onion taste? Feel free to leave them off, or replace them with another addition like strawberries (just like in our watermelon strawberry caprese salad). Not a basil fan? Sprinkle mint on top of your finished skewers instead.
Tip: When it comes to the feta, go big or go home. If your pieces are too small, you run the risk of them crumbling off of your skewer. Go for large and substantial chunks instead—trust us, your guests will thank you.

Ingredients

bunch basil leaves

medium red onion, diced large
- 12 oz.
block of feta, cut into 1" cubes
- 1
hothouse cucumber, cut into half moons
Balsamic glaze, for drizzling
Directions
- Step 1Assemble skewers by layering watermelon, basil, red onion, feta, and cucumber. Place skewers onto a serving platter.
- Step 2Drizzle all over with balsamic glaze.
